Andrew Sama, Director at Huron Consulting Group, partners with higher education institutions to design and implement enterprise‑level space and facilities management strategies. He leads Huron’s State of Space Management research and has supported universities across North America in using data, governance, and operational design to improve utilization, planning, and cost transparency.
Sujit Chemburkar serves as Director of Space Planning and Management at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), where he oversees the university's space planning and management program. His responsibilities include campus space planning, utilization analysis and reporting, governance, space policy, classroom and laboratory planning, office allocation, leasing services, hospitality property management, and support for capital planning and real estate initiatives. Working collaboratively with university leadership, he helps ensure that academic, research, and administrative spaces are strategically managed to advance UNCW's mission.
As director of Capital Program and University Facilities Information at the University of Notre Dame, Jaime Sanchez and his team manage the business operations of all capital and renovation projects, and coordinate the timely update and maintenance of a wide range of facilities data including occupancy and space usage for more than 11,000,000 gross square feet of university property.
As the Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Resource Management, Zack Tupper provides strategic leadership and support to the Executive Vice Provost and the University of Colorado Boulder in the planning, allocation, and stewardship of academic and research facilities, space and infrastructure. In addition, the Assistant Vice Provost oversees a team of building managers, responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the majority of CU Boulder's science buildings.
Moderator Carolyn Farley is a skilled planner with extensive experience in student life/services, administrative and academic facilities development, and management. In her 25-plus years on campuses, she has played a significant role in identifying and coordinating the facilities, programs and human resources needed to support the institution’s mission, values, and initiatives through environmental, organizational and operational improvements. Her experience working with a breadth of institutional types and stages of development brings a valuable perspective to her work with campuses.
