State of Space Management in Higher Education (Partnership with Huron Consulting)

When:  Aug 6, 2026 from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM (ET)

Higher education institutions are facing growing pressure to make better use of existing space while managing deferred maintenance, rising costs, hybrid work expectations, and competing capital priorities. Join Huron Consulting Group and a panel of university space and facilities leaders for a candid discussion of how campuses are responding.

Drawing on findings from the State of Space Management in Higher Education survey, panelists will discuss the practical realities of space management on a diverse array of campuses and share firsthand perspectives on what is working, what remains challenging, and how institutional approaches are evolving.

Attendees will gain actionable insights from peer institutions and have the opportunity to help shape the next edition of the State of Space Management survey.

Presenter Andrew Sama, Director at Huron Consulting Group, partners with higher education institutions to design and implement enterprise‑level space and facilities management strategies. He leads Huron’s State of Space Management research and has supported universities across North America in using data, governance, and operational design to improve utilization, planning, and cost transparency.
