Egress from Patio Into/Through a Building
The New England Air Museum is preparing to open our new patio for events. In order to create the required second means of egress, we need to reverse (or replace) a set of storefront double doors to swing into a connector between hangars that would pass occupants directly across the connector to an exit back out of the building. The patio is on the public/non-secured side of the museum off of our parking lot. The museum is protected by a security system and we will be installing cameras in the parking lot later this year. I'm currently have options priced out for an indicating three point deadbolt and for exterior rated delayed egress panic hardware. The deadbolt is only an option if the fire marshal approves and it would have to be unlocked during events (pending). If anyone has experience with this please let me know what you found that works and what doesn't.
