Do you know of any University that has successfully charged departments for the campus space they use?

Hello All 

One of my team members at our main campus stated that he is working on a planning exercise that looks at allocating a cost or charging for space used by departments.

 Do you or do you  know of any university,  that has successfully implemented some form of space charging model?
